We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and precision measurement.Responsibilities:Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) by loading programs, adjusting machine settings, and installing appropriate tools.Operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations, including drilling, milling, turning, and boring.Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to ensure accurate production.Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions and quality.Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms and issues.Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.Document production activities, including completed parts, machine settings, and any issues encountered.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational program or apprenticeship in machining is a plus.Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.Proficient in setting up and operating various CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Mazak controls).Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.Excellent understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials.Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.Good communication and teamwork skills.Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and perform repetitive tasks.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with CAM software.Experience with specific materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics, exotic alloys).
