Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in DC –
Required
Minimum of 3 years Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience –
Required
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program –
Required
BSN –
Highly Preferred
Current certifications –
Required:
NIHSS
TNCC
BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) Experience with Cerner EMR –
Required
Unit Description:
The Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that treats a wide range of patients—including pediatric, psychiatric, urgent care, and trauma/critical care cases. ED nurses here are expected to manage advanced critical care responsibilities such as:
Medication titration
Managing arterial lines
Chest tube care
Mass blood transfusions
EPIC
