Job Title: Expert Systems Developer HBITS Task Order: HBITS-07-14229 Agency: New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Location: Albany, NY – Hybrid (On-site from Day 1 required) Rate: Based on experience Duration: 24 Months

Position Overview:

The Expert Systems Developer will support the conversion of PowerBuilder modules to a modern ASP.NET MVC solution. The role involves full lifecycle development, including analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. The individual will work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Project Managers, and Software Architects to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement applications and backend processing systems. Collaborate with Business Analysts on analysis and logical design. Perform unit testing and resolve identified bugs. Write and optimize complex VB.Net code. Develop packages, stored procedures, and triggers in Oracle using PL/SQL. Extract business logic and rules from Oracle packages and stored procedures. Design and develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Implement interactive features using JQuery. Work in coordination with development teams during PowerBuilder to .NET conversion. Follow guidance from Technical Leads, Project Managers, and Architects. Qualifications:

7+ years of experience developing N-Tier .NET web applications. 7+ years of experience with Oracle database development (packages, stored procedures, triggers). 7+ years of experience extracting business logic and rules from Oracle PL/SQL. 5+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). 3+ years of experience with JQuery. Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
