where we manage energy better! Overall Objective Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies firmware. Troubleshoots code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications. Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Position requires knowledge of and exposure to hardware design. Typically, programs in assembly language and high-level languages. Handles complicated R&D hardware, firmware, software, and completes solutions projects as part of a cross-functional team. Collaborates with Product Management, Project management and other R&D teams in design, development, and validation of complete Smart Grid solutions. Research, specify, design, code, and test firmware for new products •
Existing product repair and enhancement resulting from customer feedback or other issues •
Creation of tools to assist in performing main duties (testing, debugging, programming, etc.) •
Technical support resource for present and past meter functionality •
Lead in component and/or solution design, development, documentation, and validation •
Work on agile development teams, collaborating with multiple cross-discipline architecture teams to develop hardware and software components as part of L+G Smart Grid solutions •
Participate in recruitment, development and mentoring of junior engineers •
Lead functional area-specific continuous improvement initiatives •
Lead in innovative technology and solutions development and/or validation •
Willingness to travel internationally

$98,570 - $124,663
per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
