Tax Manager
Top regional accounting firm in Orange County is seeking a Tax Manager.
As a member of the tax team, the Tax Manager will work with a diverse client base and the primary responsibilities include:
Responsibilities Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, business, estates, trusts and researches unusual tax matters Assist business partners with other financial aspects of business, taxes, financial, strategy, etc. Manage, develop and mentor staff on projects and assess performance through periodic performance evaluations and informal feedback Identify and communicate creative ideas to improve client service, and entrepreneurial spirit to expand services with clients
Soft Skills: High energy and motivation level High quality client service Ability to think independently and problem solve Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field Valid California CPA license in good standing 7+ years tax experience including at least three years in a CPA firm Solid technical skills in tax accounting Desirous of career advancement Successful problem-solving and analytical skills Demonstrated skills necessary to ensure high quality client service Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and budgets High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), Tax programs (CCH Access, PDFlyer, SurePrep, GruntWorx, TValue, Quickbooks)
