Maintenance Director

About the Opportunity The Maintenance Director is responsible for the ongoing preventative maintenance of the facility building, equipment, and grounds, and for troubleshooting maintenance problems when they arise. Ensures that maintenance services are available for emergency needs outside of regular working hours. Performs most tasks independently and utilizes properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance when needed. Assists residents with moving and minor repairs. Critical Success Factors Practices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable. Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner. Must demonstrate a positive, courteous, and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff, and visitors. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in building maintenance. Prior experience in managing a team. Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electricity, and mechanics, including but not limited to: Plumbing: design/mechanics of fixtures, drains, hot water heaters, etc. HVAC: principles of operation, heat pumps, refrigeration. Electricity: wiring, voltage, amperage. Mechanics: design/operation of engines. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. We are an equal opportunity employer.
