Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:30
Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,305.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $828.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,477.00 Per Week
Job Summary:
Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a skilled
PCU Float Registered Nurse
to join the night shift team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown experience
and will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across various PCU units. Must be flexible to float within the OSU system as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in PCU and Stepdown units.
Float across multiple units including Ross Heart, Brain & Spine, and Dodd.
Maintain patient ratios of 1:3.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.
Administer medications and manage cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration).
Respond to emergencies and initiate rapid response protocols.
Required Qualifications:
License:
Valid RN license (compact or OH state) – must be in hand at submission.
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Preferred) Experience: 2+ years of PCU/Stepdown RN experience (minimum 1 year solid required) Epic charting experience
Strong IV start and Telemetry skills
Education:
Graduate of an
ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
