Provides staff development support across the organization, including Manor, McColl Health Center, Villa, Plaza, CCC, PACE Reasner, and PACE Akaloa, as required by regulations. Ensures clinical and non-clinical training is provided throughout St. Paul’s Senior Services and PACE programs. Responsibilities: Analyze training needs by compiling data and consulting with management; develop In-Service Calendars. Develop training policies, programs, and schedules based on federal and state licensing requirements, including resident rights, safety, infection control, and body mechanics. Provide or coordinate staff development activities as required by Title 22 and other regulations. Maintain records of licenses and certifications for all licensed staff and CNAs, conducting annual checks. Ensure in-service training for CNAs and other staff as mandated by Title 22 and other regulations. Perform skills assessments annually for Villa, Plaza, MHC, and staff. Document all training activities and send records to Human Resources. Select appropriate instructional methods such as group instruction, self-study, demonstrations, and computer-based training. Collaborate with the Corporate Nurse to develop training materials and evaluate training effectiveness. Train instructors and supervisory staff on effective training techniques, orientation, safety practices, and policy updates. Monitor nursing QA indicators and report findings at QA meetings. Coordinate infection control activities with the Infection Prevention Nurse. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Minimum Qualifications: Current California RN or LVN license, or equivalent education and training. Current CPR certification. Accreditation to conduct training programs in California or willingness to obtain accreditation. Education and Experience: RN, LVN, or equivalent from an accredited school with at least three years of related experience, including direct care or training. Preferred: One year of DSD experience. Knowledge of Title 22, federal, and local health and safety regulations. Eligible for or possessing a DSD certification from California. #ZR INDHP Flexible Vacation Time - 17 days!
