About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN
for a travel assignment at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Must be willing to float, including to the ED, as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, collect health histories, and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses.
Utilize telemetry monitoring, interpret strips, and initiate protocols as indicated.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document all care, interventions, and education in compliance with hospital policy.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Manage patients on high-risk intravenous cardiac drugs.
Requirements
Experience:
1–2 years recent Progressive Care/PCU experience preferred.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN or BSN preferred).
Licenses & Certifications:
Active
NJ RN license
BLS
(Required) ACLS
(Required) NIHSS
(Required) Assignment Details
Hours:
36 hours/week (12-hour shifts) Shift:
Nights – 7 PM to 7 AM
