Travel **Job Title: Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Technologist****Job Description:** We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Technologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of technical procedures involving the application of prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological assessment, diagnosis, and therapy under the direction of a radiologist. This position includes assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures and other interventions to capture images of blood vessels and treat organ-system diseases. **Key Responsibilities:**- Perform diagnostic, special, cardiac catheterization, and radiographic procedures, including vascular access assessments and interventional procedures. - Prepare patients for exams and administer prescribed medications and contrast media according to provider orders, demonstrating knowledge of IV therapy techniques. - Ensure complete and accurate documentation in all required systems and monitor procedural data. - Assist in the development and implementation of quality management programs for Special Procedures and Cardiac Catheterization. - Operate imaging equipment safely, report malfunctions, and maintain equipment and supplies. - Demonstrate a high level of customer service, professionalism, and teamwork while maintaining calm under pressure. - Participate in ongoing education, staff meetings, and performance improvement activities. - Provide instruction and support to new teammates and student technologists. **Qualifications:**- Completion of two years of formal Radiologic Technology training from an accredited program. - Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required or registry eligible. - Current BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary. - Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Diagnostic Technologist in a similar setting. - Strong knowledge of Radiology Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath equipment and protocols. - Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership qualities. **Skills:**- Proficient in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab procedures, including the interpretation of dysrhythmias and various cardiac interventions. - Familiarity with Epic charting system and MS Office applications. **Work Schedule:**- Day shift, Monday to Thursday with on-call requirements, including one weekend call per month. **Important Notes:**- COVID-19 vaccination is required; no exemptions accepted. - Compliance with safety standards, including the application of PPE, is mandatory.
