Celebrating 75 years as a non-profit provider of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Onondaga County, Arc of Onondaga is looking to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Summary of Responsibilities
Establishment of agency’s financial planning and accounting policies and procedures
Oversight and management of cash flow, agency investments, financial audits and audit controls, relationships with lending institutions, financial reporting, insurance levels, and regulatory compliance
Serve as a part of the agency’s executive management team, working closely with the Executive Director and other key staff to establish and fulfill overall agency goals
Oversight and development of agency operating and capital budgets, working closely with management
Financial management and reporting of the Arc of Onondaga Foundation
Establishment and maintenance of relationships with funding sources and ensuring all financial documentation and reports are maintained
Handle complex and/or sensitive issues with resourcefulness, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Supervise senior management staff as assigned
Requirements for the Position
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related business field
5-10 years of non-profit accounting and financial management experience
Combination of education and experience which, in the judgment of the employer, equals above standards
CPA preferred
OPWDD experience preferred
