Job Description The NA Majors Casualty team seeks an Actuary to support one of Liberty Mutual’s largest customers. The role involves aiding profit, growth, and operational objectives through pricing, performance evaluation, stakeholder support, and client consultation. You will develop deep knowledge of the account to perform meaningful actuarial analyses on loss drivers, business strategies, operational changes, and macroeconomic effects. Improving pricing approaches and tools to better understand risk and strengthen client relationships is also essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills, with responsibilities including collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders. The position requires a highly organized, self-motivated individual with robust technical, verbal, and written communication skills. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the account team to support pricing and actuarial needs aligned with profitability and growth goals. Conduct complex analyses to inform business decisions and strategy development. Communicate technical actuarial insights clearly to stakeholders and clients. Enhance and implement large account pricing methods, driving process improvements. Work with Data Science to improve model accuracy and develop innovative solutions. Support reserve analysis through collaboration with Reserving teams. Participate in quarterly business reviews and support financial planning. Identify training needs and develop relevant content. Maintain thorough documentation of methods and activities. Mentor and motivate less experienced staff and peers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred. Associateship or Fellowship in CAS (ACAS/FCAS) or SOA (ASA/FSA) preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of actuarial techniques, business operations, and related fields. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective relationship building. Ability to motivate and mentor colleagues. Advanced technical skills (e.g., MS Excel, SAS) for complex model building.
