YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The Chief Estimator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the division's estimating program, providing technical and administrative guidance to meet corporate goals. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Manage department functions including budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, bid results, and archives. Implement and maintain corporate estimating procedures using the company’s estimating system and database. Assist executives, business development, and project management with project bidding strategies and techniques. Review final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness before submission. Review scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects. Participate in presentations to management and clients; may be responsible for closing sales. Provide technical support in contract negotiations, change orders, etc. Assist in preparing studies, materials, methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as needed. Other duties may be assigned based on the role within the business unit. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Advanced management or technical training. Strong organizational, supervisory, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with modern computer estimating systems. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team. Professional interaction with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients. COMPETENCIES: Leadership Financial Awareness Quality WHAT YOU BRING TO US: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in facility construction estimating and related functions, with knowledge of corporate objectives, strategies, and contracts. Combination of education and technical/field training, such as Engineering or Estimating experience. TRAVEL: Up to 10%, or as required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily indoor work with environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning; occasional outdoor work on job sites. Noise levels vary from low to loud. Compliance with ADA and applicable laws, including reasonable accommodations. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Rosendin is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity.
