Max 6:1 patient to nurse ratio
Floating Requirement:
Required to float to Trauma, Cardiac, Neuro, Surgical, Ortho, and Cancer Care units
Unit Description:
We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical management, particularly in high-acuity settings. This role requires the ability to float to various units, providing care to patients with diverse needs.
Required Experience:
Medical management of chest pain, blood pressure, and electrolyte imbalances.
Proficient in electrolyte replacement (both PO and IV).
Knowledge of heparin gtt protocol and dysrhythmia course/interpretation of telemetry strips and EKG.
Administration of IV push antihypertensive medications.
Competence in blood draws and placement/maintenance of IVs.
Maintenance of PICC lines, central lines, and ports.
Trach management and chest tube care.
Additional Information:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience at a busy Level 1 Trauma facility is required.
Orientation:
3 days of classroom orientation; no on-unit orientation.
Schedule Options:
36 or 48 hours per week; available schedules include Fri-Sun, Sat-Mon, or 48 hours from Fri-Mon.
Cancellation Policy:
Cooper can cancel 1 shift bi-weekly (per pay period) without penalty.
Vaccination Requirements:
COVID-19 vaccination (fully vaccinated with 1 booster) and flu shot are required.
License/Certification Requirements:
Current New Jersey RN License (Registered Nurse).
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Current ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
NIHSS Certification.
