Position Overview
Seeking an experienced
ICU RN
for a
Level III Trauma Center
with mixed medical/surgical/trauma ICU cases. Must demonstrate proficiency in critical care interventions, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.
Mandatory Requirements
Licensure & Certifications
Active NC or Compact RN License
(no pending licenses accepted) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
(AHA required) Must pass Advanced EKG exam
(no exceptions) Experience
Minimum 2 years ICU experience
(first-time travelers considered case-by-case) Required Skills:
Ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP) Titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
Arterial line/PICC management
ICP monitoring (neuro ICU experience preferred) Epic charting proficiency

Patient Ratio:
1:2–3 Facility Type:
733-bed teaching hospital, Level III Trauma Center
Specialty Populations:
Post-op surgical, multi-system organ failure
Neuro/trauma cases (sheath removal, craniotomy care) Hypothermia protocols
Scrub Color:
Royal blue and white
Clinical Responsibilities
Manage complex critical care patients including:
Ventilated patients
Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) Post-cardiac intervention monitoring
Implement evidence-based protocols for:
Sepsis management
Insulin drips
Sedation/analgesia
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds 50-mile radius rule (no locals within 50 miles)
