Residency Program Director

position at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and the OB/GYN residency program located in Newark, NJ. This role involves administrative duties, clinical coverage in obstetrics and gynecology, and relevant specialties based on training. Candidates should be familiar with quality and safety initiatives and have experience managing residency programs and schedules. The Residency Program Director will participate in departmental and hospital committees as outlined by the Department of OB/GYN Chair. The role includes advancing the division's mission through scholarly activity, such as grant-writing, grand rounds, advocacy, and participation in local, regional, and national committees or organizations. The director will serve as a leader and faculty participant at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and contribute to the scholarly growth of OB/GYN residents. Preferred Candidates Will Have: 5+ years as core faculty with documented educational and/or administrative experience Recent involvement in scholarly activities within the past five years Administrative experience, preferably as an assistant or program director of an accredited teaching program ABOG Board Certified with active NJ license or eligibility Leadership in ACGME accreditation, curriculum development, evaluation, teaching, and mentoring residents Excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine and institutional service Key Responsibilities: The Program Director will allocate 50% of time to clinical work and 50% to administrative duties. This position involves managing residency and education program schedules and collaborating with the Vice Chair of Research and Education to develop CME programs. Organizing speaking events for residents, fellows, and medical students. Must be familiar with quality and safety procedures and initiatives.
