Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to any of the following locations: Austin, TX; Warren, MI; Atlanta, GA; or Mountain View, CA, at least three times per week. The role: We are seeking an experienced engineer passionate about building visualization platforms to support all General Motors digital products and marketing initiatives. You will lead engineering efforts through planning, design, architecture, execution, and ramp-up. As a technical leader, you will mentor less experienced engineers, collaborate with technical leaders across teams, and foster a strong team culture. Responsibilities: Develop using core web technologies (client, framework, and services). Assess architectural trade-offs and implement synchronous and asynchronous design patterns. Produce high-quality, unit-tested, code-reviewed software integrated regularly into our continuous integration process. Act as a tech lead, mentoring other engineers on the team. Explore and propose product ideas and technical initiatives with cross-functional teams. Initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, organization-wide critical programs. Use your technical leadership to promote engineering best practices and identify opportunities to improve productivity and craftsmanship.
