You will play a key role in architecting, designing, and deploying the complete test solutions—including hardware, software, and algorithms—for our next-generation products. Partnering closely with a wide range of cross-functional teams, you will develop the critical test methodologies and instrumentation needed for system characterization, calibration, and validation in a fast-paced and collaborative product development environment. Responsibilities

You will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing instrumentation hardware, software & firmware platforms required to test and calibrate sensors Creating production instrumentation software and roll-out suppliers Authoring sensing technology instrumentation engineering requirements documents Prototyping, bring-up, debug and characterization of instruments for new Apple new products Preparing and delivering technical presentations. As well conducting defect root cause analysis and resolution, including diligent bug database tracking You'll also act as the supplier liaison, including supporting instrumentation bring up and qualification of engineering builds, usually in Asia Minimum Qualifications

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience 3+ years of experience in a programming languages like C/C++ or Python Preferred Qualifications

End-to end Test Design experience creating and documenting comprehensive test plans, defining test cases and coverage, and developing validation methodologies for complex systems International Travel: Positions requires international travel (up to 25%) to support manufacturing partners during key product builds. This typically involves 2-4 trips per year to sites in Asia Hands-on experience with electronics debugging tools Electrical engineering fundamentals (ability to read schematics & layout & component data-sheets) Background in testing high-volume consumer electronics, particularly with Touch, Sensing, Display, or other complex user-facing technologies Ability to perform and interpret statistical data analysis Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies like Design of Experiments (DOE) At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
