We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Co-op to join our Information Technology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing antivirus software and patching vulnerabilities to ensure the security of our computer systems. This is a unique opportunity for a high school junior or senior in the Cyber Security program or a college student majoring in Cyber Security to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field. What You'll Do Manage and maintain antivirus software for all company computer systems. Identify and patch vulnerabilities in computer systems to prevent security breaches. Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats. Assist with the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Information Security Specialist and IT team to ensure all systems are secure. Stay current with the latest developments in cybersecurity and bring new ideas to the team. Participate in regular security audits and provide recommendations for improvement. Perform other duties as assigned by the Information Security Specialist. What You'll Bring Currently enrolled in a high school Cyber Security program or a college majoring in Cyber Security. Strong understanding of antivirus software and patch management. Knowledge of security policies, procedures, and protocols. Ability to identify and mitigate potential security threats. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
