Overview
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the human resources department as needed, including record-keeping and file maintenance.
Job Responsibilities Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions; Conducts new hire orientations; Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files as needed; Assists with new-employee background checks and new hire orientation; Assists with locker maintenance and uniform requests; Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process; Participates in company recruiting events on site and off site as needed; Makes photocopies, mails, scans and emails documents, and performs other clerical functions; Files documents into appropriate employee files; Prepares correspondence as requested; Prepares new-employee files and closes out terminated employee files; Covers the front reception desk as needed; Perform other required tasks as assigned. Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; At least one year of related experience required; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as Microsoft Teams; Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment; Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers; Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Bilingual in Spanish a plus; Ability to work in a team environment.
