The Description

The

Floor Manager

is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the automotive sales department. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team; provide coaching and drive team motivation to meet sales goals. Process & Performance: Oversee and optimize the sales process; analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Customer Experience: Promote a customer-first culture; address concerns promptly to ensure a positive dealership experience. Inventory & Financial Management: Coordinate inventory needs; manage vehicle turn rates and department profitability within budget. Market Insight: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity. 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5+ years in an F&I or Floor Manager role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations. Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes. Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone. Standing and Walking: There may be times when the sales manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings. Reaching and Bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment. Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.
