Role Overview
As a Senior / Lead Risk Consulting Engineer, you will conduct insurable Construction and Operational risk surveys for regional clients, providing risk & insurance advisory, risk assessment, data analytics, loss prevention, and technical claims support. You will manage accounts for large multinational organizations, requiring extensive knowledge of Highly Protected Risk (HPR) standards, international codes & standards, fire and life safety systems, and project and construction risk management techniques. Leading a team of Risk Consulting Engineers, you will provide operational guidance, optimize team activities across regional and industry assignments, and ensure quality control of outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, discuss, and establish strategic Risk & Analytical consulting services for construction and operational clients.
Design and coordinate detailed Risk Engineering services with account teams, clients, and underwriters.
Lead execution of underwriting surveys, ensuring client and insurer satisfaction.
Prepare risk profile reports, highlighting hazards and mitigation strategies.
Develop balanced risk improvement recommendations for clients and insurers.
Calculate worst-case loss scenarios across industries and insurance lines.
Ensure timely, high-quality reports and deliverables.
Provide technical support on risk issues to clients and broking teams.
Conduct forensic analysis of claims, lead technical investigations, and liaise with claims advocates.
Maintain risk management tracking and information tools.
Stay updated on industry developments through seminars and publications.
Represent WTW professionally during business trips and meetings.
Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Extensive industry experience in design, construction, operations, or risk consulting within Asia.
Expertise in HPR, fire, and security standards.
Degree or equivalent, with relevant risk management certifications.
Willingness to travel extensively within Asia.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Proven report writing skills in English.
Experience conducting construction / property risk surveys.
Knowledge of Asian, NFPA, FM, and international property codes.
Understanding of NATCAT risks and mitigation.
Multilingual skills are a plus.
