Senior Principal Systems Engineer with Cardiac Ablation Solutions, you'll have the opportunity to apply your Electrophysiology expertise to solve complex challenges. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders and bridging functional and geographic boundaries to drive new product development. You'll also be responsible for interface testing, both within the system and during commercial support, as well as integrating the system into hospital environments. The Cardiac Ablations Solutions Unit develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes. This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Operating Unit and requires 4 days on-site per week. In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Senior Principal Systems Engineer role. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Lead cross-functional teams in the creation of integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing, training, and guidance documents. Coach other engineers in the application of systems engineering principles and identify opportunities for applying systems engineering within work assigned to the team. Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training and education in technical questions. Propose and implement changes to improve systems and/or processes. Qualifications

Must Have - Minimum Requirements TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, PLEASE BE SURE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, statistics, or technology Minimum of 10 years of technical work experience, or advanced degree with 8 years of technical experience. Nice to Have Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and comfort in the hospital environment Experience in Systems Engineering including defining systems architecture within medical device product development Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices Demonstrated ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally Demonstrated ability to act as a leader and mentor more junior engineers Physical Job Requirements

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$156,000.00 - $234,000.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, and Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
