Collections Specialist (B2B)

Work Type: Onsite Location Details: US - TX - Farmers Branch - 14460 Varsity Brands Way Work Hours: Full time, Non-Exempt Travel Requirement: 10% How You Will Make An Impact BSN SPORTS is hiring a Collections Specialist (B2B) to join our team and serve on the front line in one of the most dynamic industries in the world: sports. As a part of the BSN Team, your work will have an impact on so many individuals from youth leagues and schools to corporate offices by increasing pride and community spirit. What You Will Do Under direct supervision of the Collections Supervisor, the Collections Specialist is responsible for all aspects of collections on assigned accounts. Research and reconciliation of open AR to identify and resolve past due invoices. Initiate collections of past due items via telephone and email in order to reduce past due balances. Effectively handle high volume of inbound and outbound calls. Thoroughly note all collection activity and follow up on item until final resolution is complete. Negotiate payment arrangements. Build and maintain a positive business relationship with internal/external customers. Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements. Participate in special projects, and perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a commercial collections environment with a proven record of reducing past due balances. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, must be able to effectively communicate with external and internal customers. Education/Experience SAP experience Previous Team Sports experience College Degree Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment. It is largely a sedentary role, with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods during meetings and while operating office equipment, PCs, laptops, and telephones will be required.
