Supply Chain Planning Lead

Within the Advanced Therapies Planning and Delivery New Products team, the External Planning Lead is responsible for partnering with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and Global Supply Chain colleagues on key initiatives in the planning function. This includes ensuring patient demand visibility, development of and adherence to contract requirements, ensuring reliable supply of materials for both clinical and commercial manufacturing, and leading inventory management activities for external sites. Key Responsibilities: Represent the Supply Chain Planning team as key point of contact for external relationships. Support the design, test, and implementation of digital systems to support new, shared planning processes between J&J and CMOs Conduct collaborative planning with external partners to ensure timely delivery and inventory availability of materials needed to support the CAR-T production/development process. Implement and lead Supply Review Meetings (SRM), ensuring clear communication key internal and external partners of demand versus supply constraints, and business risks. Partner with key players including Clinical Supply Chain, Clinical Supply Integration, Vein to Vein, Operations, IT, Growth & Partnerships, Procurement, and Quality to close existing issues, implement process improvements, and prepare for new supply chain complexities. Share forecasted demand with CMO and ensure adherence to contractual obligations Support the IT team with key planning related initiatives for software deployments. Build positive relationships with key contract manufacturers in support of J&J's patients and customers. Cross-train with team members to develop and improve planning capabilities and agilely support tactical business needs. Quickly learn and understand the complexities of advanced therapies planning. Other duties will be assigned, as necessary. Qualifications: Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University degree is required, preferably with a focus in Supply Chain or Engineering. Experience and Skills: Required: A minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain planning or similar function. Demonstrated ability to manage a project in a team environment to deliver critical milestones. Ability to work cross-functionally, influence decision making, and present to leadership. Comfortable to work in a global and ambiguous setting that is in flux Drive for improvement and innovation with can-do mindset when dealing with challenges Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Preferred: Experience within one or more of the following processes: master production schedule process, inventory management, supply chain management, scenario analysis, and/or sales and operations planning Experience with Planning Systems such as SAP, OMP, sIDMa, or equivalent systems Prior experience working with IT related projects. Prior Advanced Therapies experience Other: Supply Chain or Six Sigma Certification (e.g. APICS, Green Belt, Black Belt) Requires up to 10% domestic and/or international travel The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $91,000- $147,200 USD Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
