Raining Technician Gs-1702-09 (Title 5)

Duties

As a raining technician gs-1702-09 (title 5), you will plan, organize, lead and control the group and subordinate unit training program to ensure combat readiness. Be responsible for overall management of on-the-job training (ojt) program for the group and oversight of subordinate unit's ojt program for 15 to 20 air force specialty codes (afsc). Manage the development of education and training instructional products. Administer education, training and distance learning programs. Serve as focal point for all career development course (cdc) enrollments, reenrollments, waiver requests and two-time cdc failures for the group and subordinate units. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

Conditions of employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. For positions requiring a security clearance (secret or top secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. This position is covered by the domestic violence misdemeanor amendment (30 sep 96) of the gun control act (lautenberg amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. This position is designated as essential personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation or response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless approved in advance by the tag. Applicant must complete a baseline pre-placement screening for general schedule positions within 30 days of appointment. Acceptance of a federal position may terminate tricare reserve select eligibility (if applicable). For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. Qualifications

General experience: must have the demonstrated ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience: must have 24 months or 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; knowledge of army or air force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures; experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures; experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies; experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts; experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. Education requirement: none. Substitution of education to qualify for this position is not available.
