The Senior Business Consultant will provide expert guidance and direction for multiple projects, ensuring the successful implementation of change management principles, business process development, business re-engineering, and performance measurement. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of managing complex projects, assessing compliance with government standards, and integrating financial management requirements with automated business solutions. The Senior Business Consultant will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), applying specialty knowledge to ensure continuity and accuracy in business process models. This individual will provide leadership and strategic direction, serving as a key facilitator between teams to achieve project objectives. The role demands outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction for multiple projects implementing change management principles, business process development, business re-engineering, and performance measurement.
  • Manage projects of high complexity, ensuring completion within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Coordinate tasks across all parties involved and review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Assess products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards.
  • Ensure adherence to financial management requirements and automated business solutions, considering the current system environment and potential integration of additional systems.
  • Read and interpret government policies, regulations, and directives.
  • Apply interpretations fully and legally to all activities as directed by the Project Manager or designee.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with executive-level personnel.
  • Serve as a key facilitator between multiple teams to achieve objectives of complex efforts.
  • Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and alignment across teams.
  • Apply demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in military law, history, human resources processes, or business architecture.
  • Ensure continuity and accuracy in business process models, ensuring that policies and daily activities are accurately represented.
  • Provide support for project teams, assisting in defining project objectives and strategic direction.
Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience
  • Proven ability to manage high-complexity projects and direct their completion within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Expertise in assessing compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards.
  • Strong grasp of interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated business solutions, with the ability to integrate systems concurrently or later.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks across multiple teams and review work products for quality and adherence to requirements.
  • Proficiency in interpreting government policies, regulations, and directives, and applying them legally to PWS activities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with executive-level personnel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in military law, history, human resources processes, or business architecture.
  • Experience in business process modeling and re-engineering.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and performance measurement techniques.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills to drive complex efforts to successful completion.
