LEE + RO’s office in City of Industry, CA is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer to join our energetic and growing team. Known for our “nuts and bolts” engineering approach within the industry, this is an extraordinary opportunity to do challenging and meaningful work for California’s water infrastructure while building knowledge, skills, and relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) and emerging professionals within the industry. If you thrive in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative environment, this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of critical infrastructure projects such as potable water, wastewater, recycled water, or stormwater on public infrastructure projects.
As a mid-level Electrical/I&C Engineer, you will work with project managers and other team members across multiple disciplines to design low voltage and medium voltage electrical and control systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities. Electrical and control systems include power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, UPS, batteries, control panel design, and P&IDs. Mid-level engineers are expected to apply knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines related to the electrical engineering industry. Additionally, you’ll be expected to learn LEE + RO’s QA/QC procedures and assist with other key aspects of design and construction (e.g., technical writing, specifications, review construction submittals and RFIs). You must have experience in one or more of the following areas – low voltage (480V) industrial design, medium voltage (4,160V) industrial design, industrial instrumentation design, and/or system integration.
LEE + RO offers an inclusive and supportive environment that empowers you to develop both professionally and technically. At our firm, you will be onboarded and mentored by industry leaders on interesting and important projects. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, eager to learn, detail oriented, and an effective communicator (verbally and written). As you gain more experience, LEE + RO offers you the option to become a Project Manager with advanced design skills.
