Job Description
The Trial Attorney represents insureds and the Company in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. Responsibilities include preparing for and conducting hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact clients to discuss their cases and address questions
- Review new files, documentary evidence, approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop strategies
- Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate
- Conduct settlements and dispositive proceedings such as mediations and arbitrations
- Prepare for and conduct court appearances, including conferences and hearings
- Conduct depositions and examinations under oath, and prepare summaries
- Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses
- Try and/or arbitrate cases, and prepare motions and summary documents in limine
- Keep claim business partners updated on case status and strategies
Education
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Juris Doctor (Required)
Experience
3-5 years of experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not include supervisory duties.

Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $66,800 to $120,650, based on experience and qualifications.
