Role Overview and Responsibilities:
The candidate will support the private lending business in the private bank and the business providing loans to private wealth management clients. This includes unsecured loans, securities-based loans, commercial real estate loans, art loans, and loans against other unique assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in advising, drafting documentation, and working with outside counsel on loans for private wealth clients. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring regulatory developments related to private banking loans and collaborating with the business and compliance teams to ensure proper policies and procedures are in place. The role also involves assisting with regulatory reviews of the private banking business.
Qualifications:
- Ideally at least 10 years of experience advising lenders and/or borrowers.
- Proven expertise in various loan products, such as unsecured loans, securities-based lending, commercial real estate financing, and asset-based lending (including art financing and other unique assets).
- Strong understanding of banking regulations.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- JD or equivalent qualification.
