Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Manager / Director of Analytics & Business Intelligence to join the Finance team in Grosse Pointe, MI. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and hands-on data leader, with deep experience in BI, data warehousing, and analytics. This high-impact role will be responsible for building and maintaining the organization’s “system of truth” and will influence data-driven decision-making across all levels of leadership.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute BI strategy: Develop and champion a scalable vision for business intelligence across the organization.
• Own C-Suite reporting: Deliver impactful dashboards and insights to executive leadership and board stakeholders.
• Data warehouse leadership: Design and manage a secure, scalable data warehouse and marts to support rapid, high-integrity analytics.
• Governance & compliance: Ensure data governance policies align with HIPAA, SOC, and industry best practices.
• Predictive & advanced analytics: Develop forecasting models, segmentation strategies, and optimization tools to drive growth.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Gather requirements, deliver actionable insights, and influence key business initiatives.
• Tool & vendor management: Oversee BI platform tools, licensing, and relationships with analytics vendors.
• Upskill organization: Train team members and field operators on interpreting dashboards and data products.
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience: 10+ years in business intelligence, data warehousing, or analytics
• Advanced SQL and Power BI
• Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server, Azure Analysis Services
• Data visualization and storytelling for executive audiences
• Data modeling, warehousing design, query optimization
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Track record of building analytics functions from the ground up
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare data experience
• Experience with BI Centers of Excellence or Analytics-as-a-Service models
• Familiarity with PowerQuery, SSMS
• Background in simulation, forecasting, or scenario planning
