Our client is looking for a Managing Director, CRE originator to source, originate, structure, and close commercial real estate financings across a range of property types for the group’s Large Loan team. The team originates $multi-million / $billion+ loans for securitization/syndication and supports underwriting for the recently established balance sheet program.
Essential Job Functions

• Develop and maintain strong productive relationships with existing and prospective clients with an emphasis on origination opportunities among regional and national brokerage firms, local developers, high net worth individuals, corporations and other owners and operators in the real estate development and ownership space
• Prescreen opportunities prior to the sizing, underwriting and documentation process
• Oversee a deal origination team to prepare and present lending packages for internal credit approval and rating agency/ investor analysis
• Lead and supervise junior underwriters on the team
• Create and/or review existing Argus cash flow models; edit assumptions based on actual market data collections and financial review information
• Review third party reports (appraisal, engineering, environmental, etc.), and identify key issues that warrant further investigation and/or revision
• Participate in presentations and discussions with clients, mortgage brokers, loan syndication partners, rating agencies, B buyers and mezz lenders regarding loan structure, sponsorship, legal, property, market, pricing, and underwriting issues
• Assist Capital Markets team to ensure the successful execution/exit of loans, including coordination with rating agencies, investors, and securitization functions
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Strong network of contacts in the CRE industry including mortgage brokers and key decision makers at potential borrowers
• Proven track record of originating and closing a high volume of CRE loans
• At least 15+ years’ experience focused on commercial real estate
• Should have demonstrated ability to lead and supervise junior team members
• Excellent communication skills, willingness to work as part of a larger team
• Strong financial modelling / excel skills

The annual full time base salary range for this role is
$350,000.00 - $550,000.00
Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
