Role Overview

As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from designer and project manager oversight to invoicing, tracking deliverables, and ensuring that every aspect of each project moves smoothly. You will supervise the day-to-day operations of our showroom, enforce deadlines, guide client communication standards, and keep your finger on the pulse of every active and upcoming job.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the design and project management teams, ensuring accountability, quality, and team cohesion
• Oversee showroom operations, staff schedules, and in-person client experiences
• Manage and track all active projects, including deadlines, deliverables, budgets, and issues resolution
• Own the invoicing process: review project estimates, generate and track invoices, and ensure accurate billing
• Maintain up-to-date records on project status, team bandwidth, and client communications
• Act as the primary liaison between design staff and upper management for workflow coordination
• Identify process improvements and implement systems to streamline communication and execution
• Ensure brand consistency and client satisfaction across all project stages
• Step in to resolve project delays, material challenges, or team conflicts quickly and professionally

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or team leadership in the interior design, remodeling, or luxury cabinetry industry
• Strong working knowledge of kitchen & bath design processes and construction timelines
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Experience in invoicing, budgeting, and operational tracking
• Tech-savvy and familiar with industry tools (Microsoft Office Suite, 2020 Design, Chief Architect, BuilderTrend, or similar)
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously
• Calm under pressure and solution-oriented in a client-focused environment
• Highly organized, process-driven, and results-oriented

Preferred

• Prior experience managing a kitchen and bath showroom or design studio
• Design background or understanding of cabinetry/renovation principles
• Familiarity with high-end residential remodeling and luxury product lines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
