As a Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach within residential construction, land development, and homebuilder finance; all the while leveraging Wedbush’s strong institutional relationships and sector-focused platform.

This opportunity is open to candidates throughout the United States, who will report into either our New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Chicago offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coverage & Origination: Lead and grow relationships with public and private homebuilders, land developers, private equity firms, and family offices
- Deal Execution: Drive M&A transactions, private placements, recapitalizations, and capital advisory engagements in the $25M–$500M range
- Strategic Growth: Build the Homebuilders vertical from the ground up, with full support from senior leadership and access to firm resources
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with ECM, DCM, and Research teams to deliver integrated capital markets solutions
- Be a Thought Leader: Represent Wedbush at industry conferences, publish sector insights, and drive thought leadership in the Homebuilders space
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
- Has 10+ years of IB experience with an existing track record in Building Supplies, Industrials, Infrastructure, or adjacent verticals
- A current Managing Director or Director in Investment Banking with a strong focus in Homebuilders, Real Estate, or Construction
- Demonstrated experience originating and closing M&A and capital markets transactions in the $25M–$500M range
- Strong client relationships and a proven ability to generate deal flow
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to lead and scale a vertical within a growing firm
- Deep sector knowledge and passion for the built environment and housing industry
- Holds an active Series 79, 63 license (required); 24 (preferred)
- Thrives in performance-driven, unbureaucratic environments where results matter

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $250,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
