About the Opportunity:

As our General Manager , you will be the face of our trusted local brand, a name synonymous with excellence in one of Montana’s most beautiful destinations. In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire a talented team of over 20 dedicated professionals, shaping an exceptional experience for both our guests and homeowners. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who will take charge of operational leadership and strategic planning, working closely with top-level departments such as Finance, Marketing, HR, and Revenue Management to drive strategy and achieve outstanding results. This unique opportunity is perfect for someone who is passionate about operational excellence, strategic thinking, and making a meaningful impact within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations with a focus on excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with homeowners, guests, staff, and vendors.
• Guide and mentor your team, creating a culture of support, collaboration, and accountability.
• Play a key role in business growth through owner acquisition initiatives and local partnerships.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Ensure all properties are impeccably maintained and financially optimized.
• Oversee projects, schedules, and property improvements to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
• Represent the company in the community with professionalism, passion, and integrity.
• Track team and business performance using KPIs and regular evaluation tools.
• Bring creative ideas and innovative strategies that set Big Sky Vacation Rentals apart from competitors.

The Successful Candidate Will Bring:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in the vacation rental, hospitality, or property management industries.
• Prior experience as a General Manager or comparable senior role preferred.
• Strong operational and financial management skills.
• Exceptional communicator and team builder who thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to balance high standards with a personable, team-first leadership style.
• Comfortable with technology and software platforms (Microsoft Office, industry-specific tools.)
• Passion for our guest experience, homeowner relationships, and local community connection.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
