Business Operations at Valon
The Business Operations team owns the strategic planning of the business, operations, and finances. They work closely with cross-functional teams like the Product, Engineering, and Servicing teams to drive efficiency, scale the business, and ensure the business is heading in the right direction. As a member of this team, you will use your analytical skills to drive operational excellence across the business and fulfill Valon’s mission of creating a great user experience for homeowners.
Since 2019, Valon has built a robust, modern servicing platform that delivers superior operational efficiency for mortgage servicers in an industry that has seen little disruption in nearly three decades. With the advancement of LLMs, there is tremendous opportunity to achieve even greater efficiencies for our software customers by building AI agents to own work that has historically been completed by human operators. We need high-agency, technically skilled individuals to join us in building, deploying, and driving adoption of these cutting-edge, AI solutions .
About The Role
As a Deployment Strategist, you’ll be on the frontlines of implementing Valon’s AI-powered solutions for enterprise clients. You will bridge technical execution and strategic implementation , working directly with customers to develop custom workflows and integrations that drive real business impact. This role is perfect for those who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and have a deep passion for AI and technology-driven problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End AI Deployment – Design, implement, and scale AI solutions for enterprise clients, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Technical Execution – Use Python and SQL to develop, customize, and troubleshoot AI workflows, data pipelines, and automation scripts.
- Client Engagement – Work closely with clients to understand pain points, tailor solutions, and drive AI adoption. Travel to client sites as needed.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Partner with product and engineering teams to translate customer needs into scalable software solutions and inform product roadmap decisions.
- Strategic Problem Solving – Tackle complex operational challenges with a bias for action, ensuring our deployments deliver measurable results.
- Ownership & Autonomy – Take full responsibility for the success of deployments, from early discussions to long-term client satisfaction and expansion.
- 3+ years of experience in roles like deployment strategy, forward deployed engineering, data science, product management, consulting, or business operations.
- Experience deploying AI-powered solutions and working with applied AI in a business setting.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments or high-growth technology companies.
- Experience integrating software into enterprise workflows via APIs, data pipelines, or automation.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 25–50% based on project needs).

New York Base Compensation Pay Range
$119,000—$161,000 USD
