Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Store Manager


Location: Edgewater, NJ


Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, shift work.


Classification: Exempt, direct-hire, full-time


An international retail company is seeking an experienced Japanese Bilingual Store Manager for its Edgewater, NJ location. This position reports directly to the Regional Executive and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including team supervision and ensuring a positive customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Open and close the store while maintaining a safe environment for both customers and staff.
  3. Manage store staff: assign duties, create schedules, and provide training and support.
  4. Monitor and manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate internally to ensure product availability.
  5. Foster a positive and engaging store culture aligned with the company's core values.
  6. Ensure a seamless and consistently excellent customer service experience.
  7. Plan and implement promotional campaigns and in-store displays.
  8. Prepare and analyze sales reports; participate in management meetings.
  9. Address and resolve customer issues, including complaints and return requests.
  10. Assist with HR-related tasks such as vacation tracking and payroll support.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Executive.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese at a fluent/business level.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail store management experience required.
  • Basic to intermediate MS Office skills required.

The base pay range listed represents the low and high end of the expected range. Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and performance. This posting does not guarantee specific compensation.
