Job Overview
The MEP Site Manager studies the mechanical, electrical, piping, plumbing, and fire protection specifications to plan procedures for construction, based on start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.

Essential Functions
- Assist the MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Help develop scopes of work for review and approval.
- Assist in developing the MEP project schedule within the overall construction schedule.
- Prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work and assist in project estimates.
- Coordinate and manage all trades throughout the build process.
- Support the selection of qualified bidders and negotiate prices.
- Prepare reports such as cost to complete, monthly billings, and project status.
- Review all drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Structural) upon issuance and maintain current sets.
- Assist in pricing work, drafting changes, and change orders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and oversee on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
- Schedule work, including subcontractors’ activities.
- Track productivity and quantities of subcontracted work.
- Determine materials, equipment, and tools needed; secure supply sources.
- Set up and close out construction sites.
- Serve as on-site Safety Officer if needed and participate in the company's safety programs.
- Procure tools and materials to meet work schedules.
- Coordinate with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to prevent delays.
- Resolve workforce issues and prepare progress, materials, and cost reports.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards per company and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with Gray’s QMS program and generate reports for continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce Gray’s safety policies on site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent plus at least 10 years of construction experience, or 15 years of related experience without a degree.
- Experience with data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred.
- 5+ years of electrical construction supervision highly desired.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, reports, and legal documents.
- Effective people management skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with MS Project is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, team-oriented, and professional.
- Ability to manage independently and think critically.
This position requires travel across the U.S. and possibly internationally. Candidates may reside anywhere in the U.S. but must comply with Gray’s travel policies.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The role involves standing, walking, sitting, manual tasks, climbing, and lifting up to 100 lbs. It may include exposure to various weather conditions, mechanical hazards, and noise. Overtime may be necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead multiple subordinate supervisors and support staff.
- Handle hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
