Description
Monroe Capital seeks an experienced private credit deal originator to join the growing New York City based originations team, focusing on East Coast private equity sponsors. The exact job title and salary will be contingent upon candidate’s experience.

Identify new middle market investment opportunities primarily with Northeast based private equity sponsors, privately held businesses, independent sponsors and other business professionals.
Lead the deal process of originating, structuring, and closing each transaction.

Requirements
Education

BS or Master’s Degree in business, finance, or related field.

Experience Required

At least 10 years in cash flow lending and/or middle market finance.
Well established private equity relationships.
Proven track record of closed private equity transactions.
At least 5 years focusing on the private equity sector.
A self-starter comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent written, oral, organizational and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

Sitting: Frequently (approximately 70–80% of the workday)

Required for computer work, phone communication, and administrative tasks.

Standing and Walking: Occasionally (approximately 20-30% of the workday)

May be required for filing, retrieving documents, or walking between departments or meeting rooms.
May be required to walk between Monroe offices located on different floors in the building
May be required to use a step-stool to access supplies

Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally

Must be able to lift and carry items such as office supplies, boxes of paper, or small equipment (typically up to 20 pounds).

Reaching/Bending: Occasionally

Required when organizing supplies, accessing low or high shelves, or setting up meeting rooms.

Typing/Keyboard Use: Frequently

Daily use of computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment is required.

Vision and Hearing: Frequently

Adequate vision for reading reports, emails, and spreadsheets.
Adequate hearing for phone conversations and verbal communication in meetings.

Speaking: Frequently

Must be able to communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and external partners.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation will also include a discretionary performance-based annual bonus. Note, the salary range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$200,000.00 - $275,000.00
