Overview
The Associate Director, Commercial Strategy and Business Development is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Commercial and Business Development Strategy for RxSight. This position will be pivotal in the creation of strategic initiatives relating to Same-Store-Sales growth enablement. Evaluating market trends by acquisition of key industry data, with analysis and shaping go-to strategies specific to LAL adoption and capital equipment sales strategy. Identification of gaps within the Commercial organization and providing data driven solutions to these gaps working in a collaborative manner with all teams required to drive successful implementations.

The Associate Director, Commercial Strategy and Business Development is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Commercial and Business Development Strategy for RxSight. The Associate Director will provide business development strategic analysis of opportunities related to RxSight’s core product lines and adjacent markets, while also supporting strategic planning, commercial messaging, and international growth strategies in alignment with the company’s broader growth objectives.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and refine the company’s commercial and business development strategy across all product lines (LAL & LDD), driving sustainable growth.
- Project lead for programs such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software implementations, Business development collaborations.
- Analyze market and customer behavior to fully understand solutions for barriers to increasing LAL Adoption and new product attributes
- Develop business cases for new commercial initiatives and products, including market assessments for expanding into international markets.
- Evaluate, and implement new programs, i.e., Open Access models for potential international expansion, Customer engagement tools.
- Lead development and optimization of strategy sales tools (including CRM) with an emphasis on sales process, automation, and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to align messaging, targeting, and campaign development with corporate and commercial strategic goals.
- Support long-range planning and own the annual commercial strategy cycle with senior leadership and FP&A.
- Collaborate with the VP of International Commercial Strategy & Execution to shape global commercial strategies, market entry models, pricing, and organizational readiness in key OUS markets.
- Lead initiatives that streamline execution and improve time-to-impact through process optimization and enablement tools.
- Conduct strategic assessments of partnerships and adjacent market opportunities.
- Support Investor Relations with messaging around commercial strategy and long-term growth, including earnings call preparation and strategic scripting.
- Deep understanding of medical device industry trends as well as public company management.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve operational barriers in high-velocity environments.
- CRM fluency and experience in surgeon usage tracking, data collection, and most importantly the utilization of data collected.
- Proven success working cross-functionally.
- Strong command of commercial analytics, strategic modeling, and executive decision support.
- Familiarity with international reimbursement systems, regulatory pathways, and commercialization best practices.
- Ability to translate market insights into strategic initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing ambiguity in high-growth environments.
- Proven ability to build strategic models and translate insights into business cases.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to make trade-offs between risk, growth, and resource allocation.
- This role does not directly supervise others but is expected to lead by example as a role model.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong analytical skill with proven ability to build complex models and forecasts
- A proactive and strategic thinker who can work as a solo team member and also inspire, motivate, and influence diverse teams that are not direct reports
- Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship and communication skills
- Proven ability to function effectively across a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and constituents, with the ability and strength to focus a team to work towards its goals
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with medical device companies with emphasis on strategy, financial analysis preferred
- Experience working in early and mid-stage product development, including evaluating market research, knowledge of payer environment and dynamics, and insights into global product launches.
