GENERAL MANAGER


Job Summary


Urban Air is seeking a General Manager to motivate, instill accountability, and achieve results to drive success while maintaining our fun culture! This person will provide overall leadership, vision, and direction on initiatives and operating standards while creating a positive atmosphere for guests and staff.

Responsibilities


PEOPLE
  • Hire, train, and mentor staff to develop their skills
  • Cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service
  • Implement and execute staff training programs
  • Assist in selecting and developing Area Leads and Certified Trainers for increased responsibility or internal promotion
  • Lead and influence managerial staff through effective motivation, leveraging individual strengths to maximize productivity
  • Ensure execution of employee recognition and incentive programs
  • Maintain a strong community presence through partnerships with community and business organizations

OPERATIONS
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all guests and staff
  • Oversee all aspects of operations including entertainment, food, beverage, attractions, and property to meet financial goals and company initiatives
  • Continuously improve operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Provide direction to the management team and ensure staff perform at high levels
  • Promote positive employee relations, effective delegation, and high staff morale
  • Assist franchise owners in holding managers accountable for departmental goals
  • Monitor online reviews to ensure guest satisfaction and continuous improvement

FINANCIALS
  • Capitalize on market opportunities by executing marketing strategies to increase sales
  • Maintain systems for fiscal responsibility, including inventory control and proper ordering
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and management coverage within the labor budget
  • Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to grow revenue and control expenses

Qualifications
  • Ability to enthusiastically interact with others
  • Strong character and good judgment in decision-making
  • Experience in hospitality (Theme Parks, Family Entertainment Centers, Hotels, Resorts, Casinos, or Restaurants)
  • Minimum 3 years in Facility Operations & Management
  • Ability to develop team members and achieve financial results
  • Professional, energetic, self-motivated, with a positive attitude
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional grooming and conduct
  • Adaptability, flexibility, enthusiasm
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with employees, management, vendors
  • Maintain professionalism internally and externally
  • Ability to communicate a clear vision for the park
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • High standards of conduct and professionalism
