Business Development Manager

The PCB Business Development Manager will develop relationships within target customers to penetrate organizations and open doors to new business opportunities for the assigned Printed Circuit Board Business unit for Southern California. The ideal candidate will deploy account strategies in conjunction with Management in order to achieve goals and objectives set for the business. The BDM will be responsible for aggressively pursuing Printed Circuit Board business to ensure market share growth and position the Interconnect Technology Group for future business successes. This person will also be accountable for meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets. The BDM will communicate issues and problems to Management in order to drive and assist with resolution. The BDM will regularly update the IT system with required data such as customer information, new opportunity logs, and call plans. The successful candidate must have an excellent understanding of Printed Circuit Board fabrication methods as well as the technical background to engage in capability discussions with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement organizations. In addition, this person must have a proven track record in generating profitable business growth in the Printed Circuit Board market. This person must also have the ability to work collaboratively with the Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams within Sanmina. The successful candidate must be able to develop, prepare and present high-quality Sales presentations.

REQUIREMENT:

  • 5 - 8 years sales experience successfully selling Printed Circuit Boards within the fast-paced Electronics Industry
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated individual, comfortable cold calling, developing new relationships, highly organized and strong time management skills.
  • The ability to travel when required

  • Business Development Manager: Responsible for developing new customers and ensuring competitive take-away, market share growth, and prime strategic positioning for future business successes. Identifies, targets, qualifies, and wins new business with new customers in order to meet and exceed sales revenue targets. Achieves annual sales revenue targets by obtaining new business. Identifies potential customers and analyzes the customer’s business, mission, strategy, and operations in order to recommend company products or services. Engages appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution. Participates in team calls, proposal development, pricing presentations, consultative selling techniques, and order closing strategies. Ensures customer satisfaction by managing and monitoring the sales order process from data collection through order acceptance and ensuring on-time delivery. Ensures customers have technical support for complex orders. Identifies and resolves customer complaints, escalating as required. Recommends customer discounts, custom solutions, and/or special considerations as appropriate. Enters sales budget and forecast data into the appropriate systems. Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating product results and competitive developments.
