About the Role:

Job Title: Sourcing Manager

Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and technically adept Operations Program Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) production across a defined portfolio. This role requires deep supplier relationship management, strong collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, and daily operational leadership over technical production issues. While this role does not manage pricing or negotiations, it demands someone who brings technical depth—ideally an individual who started their career in engineering and transitioned into supply chain or operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own a dedicated portfolio of PCBAs, acting as the primary point of contact for all supplier interactions and performance.
  • Manage daily communication with contract manufacturers to ensure delivery, production schedules, and quality targets are met.
  • Drive resolution of quality issues and technical blockers in close coordination with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor and manage capacity planning, production schedules, work-in-progress tracking, and supply timelines.
  • Lead deep-dive investigations into yield, process failures, or supply disruptions; drive corrective actions.
  • Represent PCBA ownership in cross-functional meetings, escalating and mitigating risks early.
  • Partner with engineering on design changes, build readiness, and change implementation without disrupting supply continuity.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance dashboards and KPIs to support reporting and operational transparency.
  • Travel to supplier sites as needed to conduct audits, problem-solve, or support production launches.

Preferred Profile:

  • Background in electrical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering with operational exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing PCBA production through contract manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Experience bridging engineering and manufacturing disciplines to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a technical operations, manufacturing, or supply chain role.
  • 5+ years collaborating with engineering and design teams in a hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Strong track record of owning and delivering PCBA or complex hardware builds across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using metrics and root cause tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Pareto, Ishikawa) to drive corrective action and improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or AS9100.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications a plus.
  • Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) and ECO (Engineering Change Order) processes.
