About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leading organization in the DC metro area, is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for a hybrid contract role. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and evolution of enterprise information systems.

The Senior Solutions Architect will serve as a key technical leader - troubleshooting complex issues, evaluating emerging technologies, and designing innovative solutions that align with the client’s long-term business goals. You will provide strategic technical consultation to project managers and business stakeholders, influencing the technology roadmap and maintaining enterprise architecture integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within systems, applications, middleware, or networks.
• Lead technical teams in resolving escalated support challenges and managing system vulnerabilities.
• Serve as a technical consultant and escalation point for project managers and business units.
• Collaborate with external vendors to resolve technical problems effectively.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Recommend innovative solutions and provide short-term alternatives when necessary.
• Conduct technical analyses to define, assess, and monitor projects and services for enterprise alignment.
• Support source selection strategies and coordinate with service providers to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years as a subject matter expert in a similar capacity.
• Strong knowledge of the ITIL Framework (Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, MCSE, CCNP).

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Advanced certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, or CCNP.
