PayRange is powering mobile commerce on traditionally “dumb” machines such as vending, laundry, amusement, car washes, and more. The company developed a low-cost, clever solution that has more than 100 patents! The patented approach leverages the user’s smartphone and network connectivity eliminating the need to connect the machine to a network enabling rapid upgrades of existing machines.
PayRange is reinventing how people pay “things” and bringing these legacy machines rapidly into the digital age with not only cashless payment, but also remote visibility for the machine owner fueling analytics and business improvements like never before.

The company recently completed a sizeable investment round and is now staffing up to manage explosive growth. We’re seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, self-driven, comfortable working in small teams, be able to develop with high-level direction. This is an in-office position, five-days a week based in our San Jose, California office.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain iOS and Android applications that interact extensively with Bluetooth-based devices, ensuring secure and reliable connections.
• Design and maintain mobile SDKs, handling the entire lifecycle from development to deployment and updates.
• Build secure applications and integrate REST APIs to support robust and seamless functionality.
• Implement features using Objective-C, Swift, Java, and Kotlin, focusing on secure protocols and data integrity.
  

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in mobile development, with expertise in both iOS and Android platforms.
• General expertise in secure Bluetooth communication, with BLE experience considered a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in developing secure applications and integrating REST APIs.
• Self-driven with a passion for self-paced continuous learning, such as open-source contributions or participation in hackathons.
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining mobile SDKs.
• Strong background in Objective-C, Swift, Java, and Kotlin.
