Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer

This position involves designing, implementing, and managing the IAM framework, utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Entra, Savyint, Grouper, and Shibboleth. The role requires leading operational support for SSO, User Provisioning, Privileged Access Management, and RBAC, while working with cross-functional teams to align IAM initiatives with organizational goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading deployment and integration of IAM technologies
- Creating operational best practices for identity systems
- Collaborating with IT, security, and business teams to implement access controls
- Developing automation scripts to streamline IAM processes
- Managing complex access issues and overseeing incident resolution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years of experience in IAM engineering roles
- Extensive knowledge of Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory, Shibboleth, and related tools
- Experience with security protocols like SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, SQL, Bash) and automation tools
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Additional Information: This role is full-time, based in the US, with a salary range of $112,180 - $162,662.50. Northeastern University offers comprehensive benefits and values diversity and inclusion.
