The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, currently seeking a Software QA Engineer III for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Mountain View, CA 94043 . Details of the position are as follows:

Shift Information:

• Monday – Friday (Fully Onsite, W2 Position)
• Pay rate is $76.70/hr!
• 12-Month contract to start, extension or conversion beyond that is based on performance and budget at that time.

Job Description:

• Position is primarily responsible for performing end-to-end testing of PC (Windows) products, focusing on UEFI-based BIOS, including requirement and design analysis, test case creation and review, manual execution, and automation development.
• Position will also be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test tools using Python, collaborating with onsite and overseas teams for requirement gathering, issue debugging, and fix validation, and ensuring overall quality deliverables.
• Position will be in charge of analyzing quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement, driving innovation to enhance product quality, and supporting released products with new enhancements and continuous validation cycles.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is Required!
• 3+ years’ experience in UEFI-based BIOS validation for PCs is Required!
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques such as UART, JTAG Debug, and Windbg is Required!
• Basic programming knowledge in Python and ability to write scripts is Required!
• Experience testing secure boot, rollback prevention, self-heal, and data secure protection is Preferred!
• Strong understanding of QA processes/methodologies and platform validation on Windows OS is Preferred!
