Position: VxRail Administration - Post Deploy Support - SME

Clearance Requirement: Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment #clearance

Location: Hanscom AFB, MA

Estimated Duration: The client approximates that this project may last up to 2-4 months. However, there is no guarantee of employment for any length of time.

Pay Rate Range: $80-85/hr

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be stationed at Hanscom and will be responsible forproviding remote support, guidance, and answering questionsas Tundra deploys the VXRail clusters at multiple sites.

While hands-on deployment isnt the SMEs responsibility, familiarity with the following is beneficial:

  • Basic VXRail administration and deploymentprocesses.
  • VMware vSphere and vSANfor managing and supporting the virtualized environment.
  • Remote troubleshooting and support toolsto effectively guide the on-site team.
  • Understanding of networking and storage configurationsrelevant to VXRail deployments.

The focus is on theability to support, advise, and troubleshootrather than direct deployment.

Requirements:

· Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment

The ideal candidate should havebasic VXRail administration and configuration experience, including:

  • Deploying VXRail clustersandconfiguring VMware vSphere and vSAN.
  • Basic troubleshootingandguidance on configuration changesto support the deployment team.
  • Understanding of remote administration, as they will be guiding Tundra’s team rather than performing on-site tasks.

The role focuses onproviding remote expertise and support, so the candidate should be comfortable with:

  • Answering configuration questions, assisting with best practices, andtroubleshooting issuesthat arise during deployment.
  • Communicating technical guidance clearlyto a remote team.

The emphasis is onadvisory and support capabilitiesrather than hands-on implementation.
