Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Sr. Technical Analyst - Strategy & Data to join our Infomediary Systems team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop clear, concise documents & presentation materials, which require proficiency in interviewing skills, workflow analysis, dataflow diagramming, screen design, etc.
- Translate and present technical concepts into effective visual images which clarify design elements and issues for both business and technical audiences
- Identify, mediate, resolve and eliminate miscommunications between business and technical project team members
- Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results
- Stay current with business needs and strategies and manage relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results
- Support and align efforts to meet business needs
- Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
- Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; determining daily priorities; following proper escalation paths
- Organize, track, and update progress on projects throughout their entire life cycle.
- Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
- Research and evaluate new technology solutions and present recommendations for improved system operations
Requirements :
- BA/BS degree and/or related work experience, preferably in Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience documenting specifications, technical concepts, white papers, etc.
- Financial Services experience is a plus
- A technical/programming background or experience working with development teams is a plus
- Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests
- Strong time management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
- Data analysis – Must have proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel
- Ability to create presentations using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint
- Exposure to project work and project planning, as well as project management software
- Very strong analytical skills required
- Critical thinking, problem solving is a must
- Excellent Written and oral communications skills
- Interviewing skills
