Lead in setting goals, providing guidance, and ensuring the team’s alignment with the organization's business objectives.

  1. Design, develop, architect, implement, and support complex solutions and applications using technologies such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, Golang, Java, Snowflake, Databricks Delta Lake, Kafka, AWS SQS, SNS, Jira, Github, Kubernetes, Serverless, Microservices, and AWS Lambda.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and create boilerplates for data pipelines using Databricks and Snowflake.
  3. Strategize for Data governance and Data quality, and stay updated with emerging technologies to evaluate their impact on the organization.
  4. Research new technologies, assess their benefits and drawbacks, and determine usability, especially in cloud services from AWS and Azure, as well as tools in the data and AI/ML space provided by Databricks and Snowflake.
  5. Explore orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Airflow for data pipelines.
  6. Develop and maintain technical standards, design patterns, code standards, and documentation, including conducting code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and documentation.
  7. Provide technical guidance, mentor teams, and promote best practices in building high-volume data jobs in AWS and Azure.
  8. Support troubleshooting, debugging, and stakeholder communication for complex scenarios.
  9. Drive innovation by researching new technologies and developing practical solutions, including creating Centers of Excellence (COEs) and AI/ML models to enhance productivity and data analysis.
  10. This role may require travel or relocation within the USA.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, computer applications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, architecture, and implementation of complex solutions in large organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing, microservices, containerization, and programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or FEA.
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Foreign degree equivalent is acceptable.
